Osita Aniemeka, PhD, FPMC, FMSc is member of the company’s Board of Directors. He is also the Founder/CEO, International Centre for Development Affairs (Global Communication Consultants), and Implementing Agency, Central Bank of Nigeria – Vocational and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (CBN – VEDC).
He was a Fulltime Faculty, Department of Mass Communication, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) University, Lapai, Niger State and the Director of the Centre for Learning Communities of same University, where his work involved taking the academic community beyond the classroom and broadening university learning experience to a global environment. His job, beyond teaching at the college, included the establishment of the University’s Entrepreneurship Program.
With a PhD in Communication and Entrepreneurial Leadership, Osita worked for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and was consultant to DFID – ENABLE in Nigeria, the UNDP – Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; and the Nigeria Development Gateway Collaborative (World Bank Development Gateway Foundation). He rose from Senior Research Fellow at the Foundation for African Arts and Letters (FAAL), New York, to become a Member of the Governing Council before returning to Nigeria to join the Faculty and Senate of IBB University.
Osita was a member of the Global Steering Committee of the NGO Working Group on the World Bank, representing the Africa Region and was named Man of the Year 2002 by the American Bibliographical Institute for his years of development work in Africa. He worked for the renowned American Express Card in the United States, and Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University (AA&MU). A skilled facilitator and capacity development specialist with expertise in development communication, entrepreneurial leadership, innovation, change management and community action, Dr. Aniemeka gained extensive experience in strategic communication, and public-private-dialogue/partnership working in the United States and in Nigeria.
A 1998 Ford Foundation Scholar-in-Residence at the North Dakota State University, Fargo, Osita founded the International Centre for Development Affairs (ICDA) in 1995 and today, he is the Chairman of the Editorial Board, ACCOMPLISH Magazine.
